When you arrive, a member of our student services team will give you a tour of the building and an information pack about the school and the area. They will discuss with you all the things you need to know and make sure that you are settling into your new surroundings.  for more information please read your student handbook carefully.  Please come to school at 9:30AM, The school orientation will begin on 10AM. The Orientation runs from 10AM to approximately 3:45PM.

Placement Check for English Students

If you have come to study English, we will give you a placement test on your first day to check your level of English so that we can put you in the most suitable class. The test takes about one hour and consists of listening and grammar multiple choice tests, a free writing exercise and a short chat with one of our academic staff.

“All-School” Orientation is the first Monday of Orientation week, before your lectures start.

Further orientation and assistance is provided throughout the first week by the Student Services Department. This includes city orientation, road safety information, assistance with the opening of bank accounts and assistance with the purchasing of medical insurance, bus-tickets and other essentials. Students may approach the Student Services Department at any time during their studies at our school for assistance and advice.

During this Orientation Day you will meet the faculty of the courses in your first module as well as the Academic staff and Administration Staff. There is a lot to know apart from what will be going on in the classroom, what’s the cross credit policy, what’s the requirement for you to stay at homestay, e.g. you can take part in different exchange programs, benefit from Career Services or be part of a student consulting project.

We will give you short introductions on study on campus from school policies, course information even to the use of the library.
We will also talk about public transport in Auckland and student reduction cards.

It is mandatory to attend the first days of orientation.
